Position Title: SharePoint Specialist

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Regina, SK

Overview:

Charter is currently seeking one (1) experienced SharePoint Specialist to join our team starting May 2025. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience as a SharePoint Specialist supporting MS SharePoint, One Drive and Exchange Online. This role requires strong SharePoint experience (projects and support) preferably from a Developer perspective (full SDLC). Experience designing, developing, and implementing customized SharePoint solutions and integrating them with other systems is also required. Industry certification required: MCPD (SharePoint) and MCTS (SharePoint). Location: Remote with occasional travel to Regina, SK. Term: Two (2) years. Candidates must reside in Canada for the duration of the project

Responsibilities:

  • Custom Web Parts: Develop custom web parts, workflows, and forms to enhance the functionality of SharePoint sites.
  • Site and Application Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites and applications to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Support/Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot for SharePoint-related issues to ensure smooth operation.
  • User Training: Create technical documentation/user guides and provide training to users on new systems or updates.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience as a SharePoint Specialist supporting MS SharePoint, One Drive and Exchange Online.
  • Strong SharePoint experience (projects and support) preferably from a Developer perspective (full SDLC)
  • Experience supporting SharePoint platform, including user interface, business intelligence, collaboration, and content management capabilities.
  • Experience in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing customized SharePoint solutions and integrating them with other systems.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and user guides for new systems or updates.
  • Experience setting up and managing user permissions to ensure the security of SharePoint systems.
  • Experience setting up and supporting Exchange Online and OneDrive is an asset.
  • Education (Mandatory):
    • Microsoft Certified Professional Developer - SharePoint
    • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist - SharePoint
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
