Position Title: IT Project Manager

Overview:

Charter is currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Contract) for projects starting in August, 2024. Ideally you will have 8+ years PM experience planning / monitoring / executing IT projects, within a defined scope, timeline, and budget; collaborating with 3rd party vendors; and working closely with IT Operations/Business Teams in an enterprise level environment. Previous experience with IT network projects i.e., Cisco Voice, Webex Cloud migration etc., would be a strong asset. Attention to detail is a must. Location: remote (PM must reside in Canada for the duration of the project). Excellent written and verbal communication (English) is required. Term: Four (4) months. Strong potential of extension.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 8+ years of PM experience planning/monitoring/executing IT projects, and delivering projects within a defined scope, timeline, and budget, within an enterprise level environment.
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to address any project related issues/challenges, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Experience managing IT Network projects i.e., Cisco Voice migration, Webex Cloud migration, firewall/VPN migration, wireless upgrading, etc. would be a strong asset.
  • Experience managing project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies, and escalating critical issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Experience managing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their engagement and involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating end-user training sessions would be an asset.
  • Education: active industry certifications in project management would be an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (English) is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
